The Kepler launch last week
I've only seen one rocket launch from Cape Canaveral, Fla. @ night. They're spectacular to observe, to say the least. Check out the article at the title link. The Kepler mission sounds like fun. Who knows, maybe Kepler will find another Earth close by and we can ditch this one after we finish trashing it ( literally - no pun intended).
